Well, the developer team at Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio certainly seem to be having fun. Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii pretty much delivers what the title suggests--a Yakuza game, but you're a pirate. Which means that this is a beat-'em-up role-playing game stuffed to the gills with mini-games. And you're a pirate. Take to the high seas as Goro Majima, a former member of the Yakuza who has lost his memory and, naturally, taken to the pirate life as he seeks to reclaim it. After waking on a remote Pacific island with no memory of who you are, you'll find yourself sailing into a conflict between modern day pirates, deadly criminals and an assortment of other rascals. Assemble your crew and upgrade your ship as you set sail, and acquire vast amounts of wealth as you do it. Combat isn't only limited to the brawling action the Yakuza series is known for - if you encounter an enemy ship you might have to start on manoeuvres to get in position to fire on them with your cannon. And when you ARE brawling it up, switch between 'Mad Dog' and 'Sea Dog' styles on the fly to land the perfect blow.
