The Cat Quest action/RPG series has gone from strength to strength. It started as an indie darling, grew with the addition of co-op in Cat Quest II and has, with this third entry in the series, taken another leap forward by incorporating a ton of community feedback and graphics that look like they came straight from a first-party hit into the mix. First, this game is an absolute charmer. It's a pi-rat (get it?) themed adventure that has you sailing around an island-strewn overworld in your very own mini-galleon, disembarking regularly to fight, explore and solve puzzles. The overworld is set up kind of like a giant map that you can run around on, with island names underfoot and things like towers that simultaneously seem to stand in for other structures and offer opportunities for you to interact with them. So, when we say you can run around on these maps, you can REALLY run around on them, getting into fights, picking up loot and having a grand old adventure. Periodically, though, you'll descend into a dungeon. In these, you'll find environmental puzzles, more exploration and more focused combat experiences that will put the gear and skills you've been accumulating to the test.
