As ever, the devil's in the details. Assists are available, but it's turning them off and upping the race distances so that you can feel your car's performance change down the laps that really rewarded the dedicated fan. To accompany what might seem like a sudden bump in difficulty, however, Codemasters has introduced a new sliding scale from easy to hard, meaning that you can increase how tough the game is gradually to match your ability.
